The pandemic has taken a severe toll on our emotional and mental health.
It is a difficult fact to even acknowledge let alone deal with the same.
According to the World Health Organisation mental health makes up about 15% of the total disease conditions around the world. The same estimate also suggests that #India has one of the largest populations affected by mental illness. As a result the reference #mostdepressedcountry.
The corona situation has added to the stress with fear of loss of income and opportunity, health and wellbeing.
Never before has the role of art been more crucial to help us negotiate our transforming reality and resultant emotions.
So we at MCM are activating #weshallovercome – an initiative to promote positive mental health leveraging the power of arts based psychotherapeutic interventions.
Drama and Movement Psychotherapist Anshuma Kshetrapal and Clinical Psychologist Aastha Dhingra joins us to provide practical tips to deal with the prevalent situation.
We also organised 2 workshops based on therapeutic movements to help people activate the positive wellness in real time in collaboration with Color of Grey Cells.
