Celebrating heroes on day 1 of MuseumWeek2020

The theme #HeroesMW dedicated to honor all people in the frontline of our fight against the corona virus pandemic. We remain safe in our homes cocooned with our loved ones only because they take on the burden of the daily fight on our behalf. We are grateful to them for their selfless service.

We started by saying thank you to our front line Covid19 warriors by going live on our Instagram handle with the CEO of Mithilasmita, Ihitashri Shandilya who is leading a team of mask warriors in creating masks adorned with Madhubani art. .

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear the doctor's coat or the nurses uniform. Some others ensure you wear masks during #corona times. But who says masks have to white or black only? And just because it is a medical necessity does it have to be boring? Ihitashri and her band of #maskwarriors at Mithilasmita are experimenting with traditional #Madhubani #art on masks.
